Mystic River

Posing the question of “nature vs nurture” from the very beginning of the movie, Mystic River creates a tense film that transmits a sense of grief, anger and confusion that slowly boils up in the different characters. The small setting used for filming provides attention to details, and great cast development gives audiences different viewpoints to take in while the plot progresses. Even though the ending is somewhat predictable, the overall story manages to keep you attentive (and sometimes guessing) at the final outcomes to take place.
